How to get there See the description for Colle dei Morti/Col di Morts (Fauniera) (2481m). This is the only pass you will visit on the Demonte-Pradleves road if you decide to go from Demonte and continue toward Passo Gardetta (on a gravel road that might not be possible with a road bike).
Other comments The pass is located where a rough road goes toward Passo Gardetta. It is possible to cycle some distance from the pass on the gravel road with a road bike, but perhaps not all the way to Colle del Preit (2076m) (where the asphalt road starts down to Ponte Marmora). It is also possible to cycle some way after reaching Colle del Preit in this direction with a road bike, but I have not explored the stretch between these passes more. The gravel road crosses Colle della Bandia; Colle Margherina; and Colle Cologna (but not Passo Gardetta). This road looked very attractive with red sand at the beginning and going out in the wild mountainous valley ahead (but it was raining a lot upon my visit to the Valcavera pass in 2002). Additional information on this gravel road connection could be found here: La Gardetta 1 & La Gardetta 2 (photos) and map & Cuneo map site.
