How to get there The climb starts on the west side of the Oberalppass (2044m) and one could possibly start on the other side too (I did not explore that side and it might be easier, but is longer). It is a somewhat bad gravel road where it is steep. When climbing toward the Oberalppass from the west you are likely to believe this is the place you are heading for (before you come closer), so it is easy to find. There is a steel wire across the beginning of the last short and steep ramp to the pass (around 18%), but I amanged to get started up after the steel wire (but it was just to see whether it would be possible – it is much easier to simply walk up). R1-2.
Other comments Much better views down west from here than from the somewhat disappointing Oberalppass. See the Oberalppass for more information.
