How to get there |
From the southeast the climb starts in Imst (824m) and is steep at first, but then becomes a more moderately steep climb. This side has very good views and the road climbs the steep mountainside for a long time. From the northwest the climb starts in Elmen (975m) and has a long middle section which is only rising slowly, but the last 5 kilometres are steep (around 10% on average). |

It is very nice around Bschlabs on the northwest side – a nice remote and romantic valley from here. The top of the pass is just out of the woods and it looks a bit bleak up here. I am not sure where you can find water along the climbs on either side. Bschlabs may not have any shops (they have a guesthouse) and there is nothing on the Imst side.
