Val d'Ese (1630m)

I had late lunch in Bastelica at a restaurant at the highest point of the village (the only that seemed open). The huge plat du jour had massive amounts of voeux (pig meat) and big beans with mushrooms – not very nice and made me feel a bit bad and I could not forget the taste of it (this is what they serve everywhere on the island if you do not ask for something else or go to a pizzeria). Pigs are all around! The photo is from when I eventually reached the skiing place of Val d'Ese high above Bastelica at around 1630m (where I stand in the snow). A girl coming down on her snowboard (being tired herself) took a photo of me.
