Bocca di Verghju (1477m)
It was cold and it did not not help that it started to snow a little on the way down the pass. I had to go a bit slow as there was occasionally some snow on the road and there could some ice. It felt like it took forever to get down this pass and I was very frozen until I came close to the bottom. The road down from Albertacce and Calacuccia through the gorges of Scala di Sta Regina was exciting and I went fast down this thrilling road! This is truly a great pass road in every way – excellent scenery on both sides and a big climb from either side taking you through many types of vegetation and landscapes.
